Nabila Zaidi – The best storytellers are also the best listeners

Nabila Zaidi, the sixth person I’ve met on this journey, is one of those rare people who makes you feel instantly comfortable while also making you think more deeply about the world around you.

Nabila Zaidi, the sixth person I’ve met on this journey, is one of those rare people who makes you feel instantly comfortable while also making you think more deeply about the world around you.

A copywriter, marketer and advertiser, Nabila brings a global perspective to everything she does, having lived in the UAE, the UK, Vietnam, and India before recently settling here in Sydney. Her first impressions of Sydney are quite positive, and she especially enjoys how kind and welcoming the people are, which is something she finds particularly refreshing in the post-COVID era.

The depth of knowledge she carries from those experiences is incredible. Living across such different parts of the world has clearly given her a unique perspective on people and communication. Whether she was talking about marketing, culture or everyday interactions, there was a level of insight and emotional intelligence that made the conversation feel genuinely engaging rather than surface-level.

What struck me most during our conversation was how thoughtful and intentional she is. She doesn’t speak just to impress. She speaks to connect. Every insight felt grounded in real experience rather than theory, which made hearing about her journey especially interesting.

My main takeaway from meeting Nabila?

The best communicators often aren’t the loudest people in the room. They’re the people who’ve spent time understanding and experiencing different perspectives, different cultures and different ways of seeing the world. Nabila is clearly one of those people.
